Slip Check provides onsite testing of floors to measure their Static Coefficient of Friction (SCOF). Slip Check are the leaders in Ireland.
We act as a totally independent Company to complete Floor Slip Resistance Tests in accordance with British Standard CompliAnce in dry and wet conditions.
SlipCheck do not offer or sell any anti-slip products.
We can offer a definitive measure of slip resistance providing overwhelming evidence that a floor is safe or slippery. Pendulum slip testing (BS7976) and The Ramp/Trolley (SlipAlert) BS8204 are widely recognised as the only on-site slip testing method suitable for legal proceedings. We regularly work alongside forensic engineers, solicitors or lawyers to produce expert slip test reports.
Coefficient of Friction µ., PTV (Pendulum Test Values) and SAV (Slip Alert Values).
A thorough and comprehensive slip test report is produced, outlining methods used and clearly classifying the slip risk of the floor surface as high, moderate or low, as per HSA /HSE/UKSRG guidelines.
Calibration Certificates for all test equipment used are included in the slip test report.
Expertise. Our testing is conducted only by experienced operators.
Our slip test is conducted in strict compliance with in situ test method BS 8204), alongside the latest UKSRG Guidelines.
Independence. We remain completely independent from any anti-slip solution providers and never profit from any referrals. Our independence ensures an unbiased test, free from the commercial pressure to sell an anti-slip floor or treatment. We can impartially recommend anti-slip products we have previously tested on similar floors and in similar environments, from contractors or manufacturers we know and trust.
We are of the opinion that there is little merit in conducting a slip test if the results will not stand up to the scrutiny of a court in a slip and fall claim, and to invest in such a test method represents a false economy.
As an independent and impartial slip test consultancy, we accept that each and every test method has limitations and there is no 'perfect test' available.
SlipCheck also issue Confirmation Certificates for inclusion within Building Completion Certificates.
